This webinar is based on the 2014 book published by ACTFL, Words and Actions: Teaching Language Through the Lens of Social Justice. The webinar will begin by providing tips for teachers on how to integrate social justice into their world language classes. This will be followed by a step-by-step process for adapting typical topics in traditional world language classes to be taught in a contextualized manner through the lens of social justice. Examples will be provided for novice, intermediate, and advanced level classes.
